The University of Alabama at Birmingham Division of Urology continues to grow and progress over its more than 40 year history at UAB. It is one of the few nationally ranked urologic programs in the Southeastern United States and was recently ranked among the top 25 urology programs in the country.
The Urology program at UAB is composed of 12 urologists, who are all subspecialists in their various areas of expertise of the urologic system, including: urologic cancer, minimally invasive surgery (including DaVinci robotic surgery), stone disease, female, reconstruction, incontinence, infertility, pediatrics, and general urology.
The division is dedicated to offering the finest residency and fellowship educational programs, performing advanced research studies in clinical areas, basic science investigations, and the translational component which joins these two, as well as providing patients the most current and comprehensive care available.
