Thank you for visiting our UAB Huntsville Internal Medicine Residency website. This is a wonderful and exciting time to begin a career in internal medicine, particularly in Huntsville. We embrace the challenge of teaching internal medicine and providing cost effective and comprehensive primary care to a diverse population in Northern Alabama. Huntsville is vibrant and robust area experiencing rapid economic growth as a result of NASA, Marshall Spaceflight Center, Redstone Arsenal, and an expanding research park including the Hudson Alpha Institute for Genomics. The Huntsville Hospital Medical Center is the only teaching hospital in Northern Alabama, offering a unique opportunity to care for a broad range of patients with diverse pathophysiology.
