The United States is in great need of Primary Care Physicians. For many people the word ''Doctor" is strongly linked with the primary care physician that serves as the caregiver for nearly all the patients healthcare needs. Many approaches to managing health care costs include a Primary Care Doctor as the gatekeeper to specialty care as needed. Many students that wish to practice full-time or part-time in rural or international settings find primary care to be essential preparation. Primary Care week will provide opportunities to learn about the training and opportunities in Primary Care.
